IMD predicts formation of Cyclone Mocha over Bay of Bengal; more rains across India this week

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted the formation of a cyclonic storm, Cyclone Mocha, in the southeast Bay of Bengal. Between May 7 and May 9, the cyclonic storm is expected to make a landfall on the eastern coast of the country. Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation, a low pressure area is likely to form over the the southeast Bay of Bengal around May 7 and then concentrate into a depression over the same region on May 8.
