40 boats gutted in Visakhapatnam fishing harbour fire, loss over ₹30 crore
While the fire has been successfully brought under control, the cause is yet to be ascertained. Foul play not ruled out. More than 40 mechanised boats were gutted when a massive fire broke out in the fishing harbour of Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam early on Monday, police said. The fire erupted in one of the boats harboured at a jetty around midnight, triggering in an explosion of its diesel engine. Soon, the fire spread to adjacent boats and the entire Viskahapatnam fishing harbour was engulfed inthe blaze. A group of fishermen present at the harbour raised an alarm and alerted the police. “Soon after coming to know about the fire mishap, the police rushed there along with three fire tenders, followed by another three fire tenders to extinguish the fire. Around 40 boats were reduced to ashes,” Deputy Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam, K Anand Reddy told reporters.

Chandrababu Naidu granted regular bail in skill development case
Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday was granted regular bail in the skill development case. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday was granted regular bail by the Andhra Pradesh high court in the skill development case, ANI reported. The Telugu Desam Party chief is on interim bail till November 28. On October 31, the high court granted a four-week interim bail to the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister on medical grounds. He had been lodged in the Rajahmundry central prison since September 10, a day after being arrested by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the multi-crore skill development corporation scam and was remanded to judicial custody by the Special Court for the ACB cases in Vijayawada. In March this year, the CID had initiated a probe into alleged scam worth ₹3,300 crore in the APSSDC during the previous TDP regime.

Andhra Pradesh HC grants Chandrababu Naidu 4-week bail on health grounds in skill development case
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday granted interim bail on health grounds to former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for four weeks in connection with the skill development case. The counsel representing Naidu informed the court that the former chief minister has to undergo cataract surgery. The court also posted his regular bail plea to November 10, according to PTI.

Pawan Kalyan has stated that the alliance, forged between TDP and Jana Sena parties in Rajamahendravaram on October 23, is a vaccine to eliminate the pest called YSR Congress party in the next assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP and JSP leaders led by Mr. Pawan Kalyan and TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh officially formed the alliance to contest together in the 2024 assembly elections during the first meeting of the Joint Action Committee, comprising the leaders from both the parties, held in Rajamahendravaram.

Jagan Reddy Was Informed About Uncle's Death Before Public: CBI
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was informed about the death of his uncle and former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy much before the news became public, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) told a court on Friday. The probe agency made the revelation in an affidavit before the Telangana High Court in response to an anticipatory bail petition filed by Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, a member of the Chief Minister's party, who has been named an accused in the case. Avinash Reddy's father Bhaskar Reddy, who was arrested in connection with the case last month, was shifted to a hospital this morning.
