'Sonia Gandhi going to make me CM': Telangana Congress leader in viral video
The upcoming Telangana assembly elections have several contenders for the chief ministerial post from the Congress party. Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha member Komatireddy Venkat Reddy reportedly claimed that Sonia Gandhi would appoint him as the chief minister if the party emerged victorious in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections. Reddy, a member of Parliament from Nalgonda, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was purportedly heard making the claim during an election rally in his Lok Sabha constituency. The video emerged on social media ahead of the November 30 elections in Telangana.

Astock market broker was arrested in Hyderabad on Wednesday for allegedly killing a 55-year-old woman with whom he was in an illicit relationship. The 48-year-old man was arrested following a week-long investigation, initiated after the discovery of the victim’s severed head in a dumping yard. According to the police, the motive behind the crime was reportedly related to debts amounting to Rs 7 lakh that the accused, identified as Chandramohan, owed to the victim, Yarram Anuradha Reddy. The police said while Chandramohan was a bachelor, Anuradha was a widow who worked as a nurse in a hospital after her husband passed away several years ago. As a result of their association, the accused had provided accommodation to the deceased in a portion of his ground floor residence. The two were in an illicit relationship for over 15 years.

Telangana moved a step closer to its efforts to become the country’s hub for electric vehicles and sustainable mobility, with the foundation being laid for one of India’s largest, and the State’s first lithium-ion battery gigafactory on Saturday. The Amara Raja Giga Corridor for Lithium Cell and Battery Pack Manufacturing will come up in Divitipalli of Mahbubnagar, with the unit to have a capacity of up to 16 GWh and cater to Indian and international markets.

Video: Telangana Politician YS Sharmila Slaps Cop At Paper Leak Protest
YS Sharmila, the leader of YSR Telangana Party and sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, was detained today after she manhandled police personnel during a protest. Ms Sharmila was stopped by police on her way to the office of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged leak of questions for recruitment exams conducted by the state government.
