Each year, this disease is discovered in more than 8,000 persons worldwide. With more than 7,00,000 fatalities from cancer each year, it is also one of the main cause of cancer mortality globally. Long-term liver illness (also known as chronic liver disease) is seen in more than half of patients who develop liver cancer.
