A supermassive black hole is on the run and it is going fast. If it were in our solar system, it would cover the distance between the Earth and the Moon in 14 minutes. The black hole weighs as much as 20 million Suns and is also leaving behind a 200,000-light-year-long trail of newborn stars in its wake. To put that into context, the diameter of the Milky Way is about 100,000 light years.
