Once upon a time, in the quaint village of Dharmapur, there lived a poor but kind-hearted farmer named Ramu. He worked hard every day on his small plot of land, but the rocky soil yielded very little, and he struggled to make ends meet. Despite his hardships, Ramu always helped anyone in need, earning him the love and respect of the villagers.
One day, while digging in his field, Ramu struck something hard. Curious, he dug deeper and unearthed an old, large clay pot. It looked ancient, with intricate carvings on its surface. At first, Ramu thought, Maybe I can use this pot to store grains or water.
As he cleaned the pot, he absentmindedly placed his hoe inside it. To his astonishment, when he reached into the pot to retrieve the hoe, he found not one, but two identical hoes! Ramu was confused. How did this happen? he thought.
To test the pot again, he placed a mango inside it. Moments later, the pot produced not one, but two fresh mangoes. Realization dawned on Ramu—This is a magic pot! Whatever I place inside it doubles!
Excited, Ramu carried the pot home and began to use it wisely. He placed his last handful of rice inside the pot, and soon he had enough rice to fill all his storage containers. He did the same with wheat, lentils, and even money. Over time, Ramu's once-empty house became filled with food, supplies, and wealth.
But Ramu was not a greedy man. Instead of keeping everything for himself, he used the magic pot to help his fellow villagers. He doubled their seeds before the planting season, shared food with the hungry, and gave money to those in need. The villagers were amazed by Ramu’s generosity and blessed him for his kindness.

However, not everyone in the village was kind-hearted. A greedy merchant named Bhanu heard about the magic pot and decided to steal it. One night, Bhanu sneaked into Ramu’s house and took the pot while Ramu was asleep. Delighted with his theft, Bhanu hurried home and decided to test the pot by placing his gold coins inside.
As expected, the coins doubled. Bhanu was overjoyed. He became so excited that he wondered, What will happen if I put myself inside the pot? Maybe I can create another version of myself and become even more powerful!
Without thinking, Bhanu climbed into the pot. But instead of creating another version of him, the magic pot vanished with a loud pop, taking Bhanu with it. It was as if the pot refused to serve someone so selfish and greedy.
The next morning, when Ramu discovered the pot was missing, he was heartbroken. But when he heard what had happened to Bhanu, he understood that the magic pot had its own way of punishing greed. Though he missed the pot, Ramu continued to live happily, for he had enough wealth and the love of his villagers.
Moral of the story: "Greed leads to destruction, while generosity brings happiness." Be kind and share your blessings with others, for true wealth lies in helping those in need.
