Once upon a time, in a peaceful Indian village called Surajpur, there lived a hardworking little hen named Lal Pari. Lal Pari was kind and industrious, always busy tending to her small field and taking care of her chicks. She lived with a lazy goat named Gopu, a laid-back cat named Sundari, and a sleepy buffalo named Bhola.
One bright morning, as Lal Pari was scratching the ground near her field, she found some grains of wheat. Excited, she thought to herself, If I plant these grains, I can grow wheat and make fresh roti for all of us!
Lal Pari called out to her friends, "Who will help me plant these grains of wheat?"
Gopu, munching on some grass, lazily replied, "Not I. I’m too tired."
Sundari, stretching under the shade of a tree, said, "Not I. I’m busy grooming my fur."
Bhola, lying in the mud to keep cool, yawned and said, "Not I. I need my rest."
Lal Pari sighed but didn’t give up. “Fine, I will do it myself,” she said. And so, she planted the wheat with care.
Weeks passed, and the wheat grew tall and golden under the warm sun. When it was time to harvest, Lal Pari once again asked, "Who will help me harvest the wheat?"
Gopu shook his head, "Not I. I have a headache."
Sundari lazily replied, "Not I. I’m napping right now."
Bhola grunted, "Not I. It’s too hot to work."
Lal Pari rolled her eyes and said, "Fine, I will do it myself." She harvested the wheat all on her own.
Next, the wheat needed to be ground into flour. Lal Pari asked, "Who will help me take the wheat to the mill to grind it into flour?"

Gopu, Sundari, and Bhola all gave excuses again. Frustrated but determined, Lal Pari said, "I’ll do it myself." She carried the heavy sack of wheat to the mill and brought back fresh flour.
Finally, it was time to make the dough and cook the roti. Lal Pari asked, "Who will help me knead the dough and cook the roti?"
Once again, Gopu, Sundari, and Bhola refused to help. “We’re too tired,” they said in unison.
So Lal Pari kneaded the dough, rolled it out, and cooked soft, warm, golden rotis all by herself. The delicious aroma of fresh roti filled the air, and her lazy friends suddenly appeared by her side.
"That smells so good!" said Gopu.
"We’re so hungry!" said Sundari.
"Please share the roti with us," said Bhola.
But Lal Pari shook her head. "When I asked for help, none of you were willing to do any work. Now that the roti is ready, I will eat it myself!" And with that, Lal Pari sat down and enjoyed her meal while her friends watched with regret.
From that day on, Gopu, Sundari, and Bhola realized the value of hard work and promised to help Lal Pari whenever she needed them.
Moral of the story: "You reap what you sow." Hard work and effort lead to rewards, while laziness brings regret. Always be willing to contribute your share of the work.
